Sunday, 23 May (2021), I was returning from a long walk from the town of Kallista, in the Dandenong Ranges, to my town of residence, Belgrave. As I approached the end of Old Monbulk Road, I snapped this photo of the tourist train departing the grounds of the Puffing Billy Station.

Steve H. ["Lines from other Lines" page] > PIease welcome John Weeks, another Mountain Man from up here in the Dandenong Ranges. John is one of the best of a growing band of photographers up here and all of them at some time happen to take some nice photos of the Narrow Gauge. It is interesting that non-railfans see the railway scene differently to us rail photographers. Besides being a lovely image, it has a sort of immediacy about it that we "rails" often miss. Good to see your first post in "Lines from other Lines" John and hope that it will be the first of many. Cheers Holmesy.
Edward h. > Welcome, John. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
