It is rather rare to see a Red-backed Kingfisher so close to Melbourne. Usually people have observed these birds in arid regions of Australia. Yesterday I was very fortunate to capture a photo of this beautiful bird at Studley Park / Yarra Bend (close to Mebourne, Victoria).
