CD Liner Notes :

Tony Flynn has been playing Classical guitar and keyboards since the age of 15. He started life as a composer writing music and songs in a variety of styles, including Popular and Classical. In 1981, together with another musician, he wrote, recorded and distributed an album of songs and music called 'Magick'.

In 1985 he set up a small recording studio from which he began writing for audio-visual and corporate videos. Since then he has moved his studio into larger and better premises and operates under the name of 'Ariel Musick'.

Some credits to his name include a tongue-in-cheek horror film called 'Revenge Of Billy The Kid', 'Galleria' a science fiction film short for the BBC and various documentary programmes.

The title 'Themes Of Light And Darkness' was inspired by a science fiction novel by Roger Zelazny called 'Creatures Of Light And Darkness'.

The Book delved deep into the cloisters of the mythological world where ancient beasts, gods, goddesses, deities and elementals live out an eternal drama depicting the forces of nature.

This age-old struggle between good and evil, light and darkness, Christ and Anti-Christ, George and the Dragon, David and Goliath, angels and demons, even Batman vs Joker, is an expression of the creative universe that we live in, that is the creativity we are not aware of until someone writes it down, paints, speaks or plays it thereby giving it a body to exist in.

Like Roger Zelaney's novel, this is what I have tried to do in a musical form. However, unbiased and without favouritism this all sounds, I do believe that the angels get the better of the demons ... in the end.
