I snapped the photo of  Leon Russell (on piano, right) using a ‘point & shoot’ Kodak camera and placing the camera behind a pair of binoculars to get a close up of the concert.

John Mayall OBE is an English blues and rock musician, songwriter and producer. In the 1960s, he formed John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, a band that has counted among its members some of the most famous blues and blues rock musicians. I was very fortunate to photograph John Mayall back in 1972 during a concert at Festival Hall, West Melbourne (Victoria, Australia).
