Tell Me Why - Ulysses
Tell Me Why was a UK children's educational weekly. It was published by Fleetway Publications in 1968. The format was almost tabloid size. It was a 20 page full colour glossy magazine. The publication was an English language version of a similar mag which originated from Holland.
The magazine reminded me of a similar title Look and Learn with many brilliant illustrations and the occasional comic strip content.
Unfortunately credit was not provided to the artists. I suspect that the above illustration was by Italian artist Ruggero Giovannini but I could be wrong.
Serenity - Those Left Behind
I just finished reading the 2006 graphic novel 'Serenity - Those Left Behind', published by Dark Horse Books (USA)
Stated on the back cover :
Here's how it is - in a universe filled with hearts and minds as cold and dark as the reaches of space, one small Firefly-class starship named Serenity takes its ragtag crew of mercenaries, outlaws, and fugitives in search of a job, any job, that'll earn them enough cash to afford that most elusive commodity - peace.
Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, unveils a previously unknown chapter in the lives of his favourite band of brigands in this prequel to the Serenity feature film - the blockbuster follow-up to Whedon's cult-hit TV show Firefly.
'Serenity - Those Left Behind' was written by Joss Whedon & Brett Matthews, art by Will Conrad. This volume collects issues one through three of the Dark Horse comic-book series 'Serenity - Those Left Behind'
James Bond
I came across a back issue of The Big Issue dated in 2012. This issue features an article on James Bond. Here's the cover of the magazine.
