Advertising Art - Rose's Lime Juice

An advertisement promoting Rose's Lime Juice. This was published in the UK magazine Punch, dated 20 July 1955.

Rose's lime juice, often known simply as Rose's, is a line of juice products first patented in 1867. The range includes both the original concentrated squash or cordial and also diluted drink mixers. The company is now owned by the Dr Pepper Snapple Group, part of its Mott's division. In the United Kingdom, Rose's Lime Juice Cordial is manufactured and distributed by Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd. The advertisement states :

"Really, Hugo, this is not exactly the weather to play at Space Men, even if we ARE on the icy slopes of the Purple Planet. And think of your little sister's gold-fish - swimming around in Mr. Hawkins' sink ... Hawkins! Can you hear loud and clear? Message begins ... Bring two large glasses of Rose's Lime Juice, one with gin Strength Three!"
