Agos - Comic Strip from the Philippines

When travelling around in the Philippines a few years ago, I was delighted to see a comic strip published in the Filippino newspaper Tempo. The adventure comic strip is titled Agos. Its creators are Richel G. Dorotan & Louie Celerio. Sadly, I am not able to translate the language but it is good to see some rather nice artwork nevertheless.

I am quite fond of Filippino komik artists who went on to work for DC and Marvel comics, particularly in the 1970s and '80s. Artists such as Alfredo Alcala, Mar Amongo, Ernie Chan, Alex Niño, Nestor Redondo, and Gerry Talaoc (to name a few).

If you type "Philippine comics" in the Google Images search engine you will see a wealth of amazing Filippino art.
