Sunday, 18 January, 2026, I visited the fire-stricken town of Yarck in Victoria, on behalf of the Christian group called ADRA (The Adventist Development and Relief Agency, the official humanitarian agency of the Seventh-day Adventist Church). The town of Yarck invited us to be at the Relief Centre that was set up to assist the town people, who were effected by the recent bush fires, with provisions and services. I listened to many stories that the townfolk was willing to share with me, stories full of heartbreak, loss, struggles, hope for the future and so on. As a team of 5, we were able, on behalf of ADRA, offer a financial payment to help them in meeting some of their needs. The CFA, Police warmly welcomed us in gaining access to the town. The photos I am posting will give you a sense of some of the devastation now in place from what resulted some days ago, from the bush fires.
