Nicko’s extensive commercial career included Melbourne stations such as 3DB, 3XY (where he interviewed The Beatles during their 1964 Australian tour at the Southern Cross Hotel, when Jimmie Nicol temporarily replaced Ringo Starr). He has also interviewed Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. He prefers the Stones’ music over the Beatles for its edge.
